About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia. I earned my
Master of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Washington, D.C. I have experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in in-home, community mental health, and private practice settings. Through my training, I have grown passionate about supporting children, adolescents, parents, and families managing the complex and painful challenges following a child's disclosure/discovery of childhood sexual/physical/emotional abuse and/or neglect. Additionally, as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) I have specialized training utilizing play and expressive therapy modalities in the therapy process.
I view therapy as a collaborative relationship, in which the comfort and trust established allows for safe, supported exploration of one's challenges. This collaboration allows me to meet clients where they are and support their healing in a way that feels attuned to their needs. In my current practice, I provide therapy to children as young as 4-years-old, adolescents, families, and adults. My areas of specialty include working with children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions and adjustment difficulties, impulse-control and behavioral challenges, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, and providing parenting and family support.
I am originally from the DMV area and have settled in Loudoun County. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, family, friends, and my lovable chocolate lab, Waylon.
